in addition to missing math:

My life has been horribly lacking in poetry lately. I must make an effort to rectify this ASAP.

kinda dumb

That last post was supposed to go someplace else. So now I've deleted it, backdated it, and moved it (not in that order).

Things that annoy me more than logic dictates

I just accidentally deleted this entire post. I am going to go cry now.
It was fully four paragraphs long, with bold, italics, and html links, and it was actually witty. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to edit it once I hit preview, and accidentally navigated away from the page. Why? Because I'm an idiot.

possibly a disclaimer, but not a manifesto (yet)

So my sister is feeling all bloggy and motivated right now, which reminds me that I was in a similar mood last week, and yet accomplished little (although I do have a quite long and somewhat rambling post in my LiveJournal to show for it). Also, I have a feeling she's going to want my participation in the madness sometimes soon, and there's a survey about music I might be expected to post - so it seemed time for some explanation/introduction.
i.e this is my new blog, whose purpose differs from that of the other blog-thing I have in that 1. I'm probably going to hold my writing to a higher standard (read: capitalization and punctuation), and 2. Livejournal is an excellent forum in which to keep in touch with people, especially for people like me whose friends are all both geeky and far away, but Blogger feels more serious somehow, and I will aspire to take it unseriously in a less boring way. Unfortunately, goal #1 went out the window with the advent of this paragraph, so perhaps I'll just try to use bigger words over here. It's totally unclear.
As for the url, it's very silly and I know I pronounce Persephone wrong, but I've been doing so for a number of years and I like it better this way.
Current goals for the blog include getting my New Years Resolutions posted on here by midnight tonight, as one of them stipulates typing the list up by today. That way I can commence breaking them in time for February (second most irritating month of the year, IMO).
